On the left is Thai Tom. It was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Seattle. We waited an hour and 25 minutes to get our food. It is and always has been a total dive, and today is only about 2/3 as good as it was when Tom still manned the stove.
On the right is some new thai place. There was a sandwich board advertising that every dish was only $5, and there was exactly one person in there when I looked on my way out of Thai Tom.
I think this is a testament to what happens when you do things right.
