I know it’s scary at first that one of the two major political parties in the most heavily armed country in the world lets a racist mob made up of official delegates against a woman from Puerto Rico go unchecked for almost a minute. And I know it seems disgusting that in 2012 two Republican party officials would be ejected for throwing nuts at a black CNN cameraman and saying “This is how we feed animals,” but those identical hand-painted “women (heart) Ann” signs during Ann Romney’s speech totally makes it ok to vote for the white men who want to redefine rape and strip what’s left of our social safety net to pass more tax cuts for the wealthy. It’s the white thing to do.
